The story Nessía has lived beneath the murky water of Loch Ness since ancient times. Loneliness manifests into earthquakes. A Faerie queen pleads for her to cease the tremors and rewards Nessía with a human form. To stay human, she must find love. When the man she believes she loves casts her aside, Nessía responds to the betrayal by cursing the men of the MacDonald clan with the inability to keep a woman’s love. Only an act of true selflessness will break the curse. After centuries pass, Nessía again searches for love. When Rory Hawthorn, an American scientist, arrives under the pretext of researching earthquakes but in reality to research his MacDonald heritage and the curse, she believes she has found the perfect mate. Amid stolen kisses, an earthquake, and a steamy night of passion, Nessía returns to the murky depths of the loch. When Rory meets the green, scaly Loch Ness Monster, and assumes Nessía is in danger, he vows to kill it in order to save the woman he loves.

The story grabs your mind from the start and you have to know what is going to happen. Will Nessia find true love or go back to the water? Will Rory let her down or come through?
The setting is remarkable and I know Nancy has done a lot of research in Scotland and that hard work has shown through this book. I could imagine being there with Nessia and her surroundings.
I met the author through our local chapter of the RWA. As a fellow writer and a dragon devotee, I couldn't help but pick up a copy myself.
You can't go wrong with dragons, not for me. Especially lady dragons residing in Loch Ness, trying to pass as human, until some idiot (handsome idiot, at that) stumbles along and disrupts things... Fantastic and fun!
Nancy Lee Badger has created a beautiful, fanciful romance.
The characters burrowed under my skin and enticed me to flip pages until late.
And the twist of the Loch Ness monster as a female shape shifter intrigued me.
Charming.
A dragon, a curse, and love in the balance--pure satisfaction.
Ms. Badger has gained a new fan.
Dragon in the MIst is a fun quick enjoyable read. The male character was my favorite, he had a great personality. The setting was also great.
I've always loved the Loch Ness monster myths so this was a delight to find! A quick read (wish it had been longer!) with very engaging characters. I'll definitely be checking out Nancy's work in future.
Nancy Badger's wonderful romance "Dragon In the Mist" was such a pleasure to read. I had planned on reading only a chapter each day in order to savor the book but once again, Nancy's story line and characters kept me mesmerized and I finished reading it in one weekend. I then read it again, slower, and enjoyed it even more. Another great story by Nancy Badger.
